RicBot — Terms of Use

1. What RicBot is

RicBot is a free AI assistant that answers questions about electric vehicles, drawing on published content from Ric Boullemier ("Sustainable Dad") and other sources. The service is provided by Generate Media Limited (England & Wales, company no. 13372796; registered office c/o Aspreys Accountants Ltd, No. 5 The Heights, Brooklands, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 0NY) ("we"), and is built and operated on our behalf by BeLucent Limited (England & Wales, company no. 09010160) as platform operator. By creating an account or using RicBot you agree to these terms.

2. RicBot is an AI — not Ric, and it can be wrong

• Answers are generated by an artificial-intelligence model. You are not talking to Ric Boullemier, and answers are not written, spoken, or individually approved by him.
• AI answers can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date — including prices, specifications, range figures, and availability. Always verify important details with the manufacturer, dealer, or leasing company before making any decision.
• RicBot provides general information only. It does not provide professional advice of any kind — financial, legal, tax, or purchasing advice — and no answer is a personal recommendation. Nothing RicBot says is a financial promotion, an offer, or an inducement to enter any credit or hire agreement.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old. The service is intended for UK users. You must not use RicBot from any country subject to comprehensive UK/US sanctions (currently including Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, and the Crimea/Donetsk/Luhansk regions).

4. Your account

Login is by magic link to your email address; by logging in you confirm you're 18 or over and accept these terms. Keep access to your email secure — anyone with your login email can access your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Usage limits apply (currently a fair-use rate limit) to keep the free service available to everyone.

5. Acceptable use

Don't: attempt to extract other users' data or probe the service's security; use RicBot to generate unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content; misrepresent RicBot's answers as statements by Ric Boullemier; scrape or bulk-harvest the service; or attempt to manipulate the model into breaching these rules. Don't enter sensitive personal information (yours or anyone else's) into the chat.

6. Your data

How we handle personal data — including chat storage, deletion, and the anonymous-training toggle — is described in the Privacy Policy (at /privacy), which forms part of these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The service, its design, and its underlying content remain the property of their respective owners (including Ric Boullemier / Generate Media for Sustainable Dad content). You may use answers for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You keep whatever rights you have in the questions you ask.

8. Liability

• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
• Subject to that: RicBot is provided free of charge, "as is", and we do not warrant that answers are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. We are not liable for losses arising from reliance on information RicBot provides where these terms told you to verify it independently, nor for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity.
• Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

9. Changes and termination

We may change or withdraw the service (it's free; we'll be reasonable). We may update these terms — significant changes will be flagged in the app, and continued use means acceptance. You can close your account at any time (Privacy Policy §6 explains what happens to your data).

10. Complaints and contact

Questions, complaints, or data requests: privacy@belucent.co. We'll acknowledge complaints within 30 days. Data-protection complaints can also go to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

11. Legal bits

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there). If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest still stand.
